'Worship' by Nathalie Djurberg & Hans Berg screening as part of Trulee Hall Selects by Zabludowicz Collection
18 February 2021
On 21 February from 5pm, Nathalie Djurberg & Hans Berg's 'Worship' (2016) will screen as part of artist Trulee Hall's selection of online works for Screening: Trulee Hall Selects III, presented by Zabludowicz Collection. While her Zabludowicz exhibition remains closed, Hall has curated a trilogy of online screenings by artists whose practices she admires, the third and final of which brings together a range of shorts considering processes of transformation and becoming. Including films by Mika Rottenberg, Allison Schulnik, Rachael Maclean and more, the screenings will be followed by a Q&A session with Hall.
Emotions of desire, lust and greed are at the heart of ‘Worship’. Mixing animation and sculpture created by Djurberg and sound composed by Berg, the film plays on stereotypes associated with female and male sexuality. As it progresses, victims and perpetrators switch roles, and the characters exploit and are exploited.
