Tony Oursler's Eclipse installation features in group exhibition at Pedion Areos park, Athens
9 May 2022
'Plásmata: Bodies, Dreams, and Data' is a group exhibition organised by the Onassis Foundation which will be presented from 23 May across Athens' Pedion Areos park. Through works by 25 international artists, the show explores notions of the body – be it ours or another's, individual or collective, human, non-human, or planetary.
Originally conceived for and presented within the grounds of the Fondation Cartier in Paris, Tony Oursler's Eclipse uses trees as animated backdrops for a series of video projections. Thematically concerned with the environment and its relationship to technology and magical thinking, the dynamic sound and light installation positions trees at the centre of conflicting world views, brought to life with projections that invite the viewer to reconsider connections between technology and nature.
