'Tony Cragg: Please touch!' at Kunstpalast Düsseldorf, DE

From 22 February to 26 May 2024, Kunstpalast Düsseldorf presents the exhibition 'Tony Cragg: Please touch!', focusing on the tactile appeal of the British artist's sculptures.

While many sculptures are created with the experience of touch in mind, museum visitors are often made to refrain from handling sculptures for conservation reasons. This exhibition at Kunstpalast Düsseldorf marks the first extensive exhibition of Tony Cragg's sculptures that visitors are encouraged to touch, to enable a better understanding of their surfaces.

Tony Cragg's work revolves around exploring the possibilities of the material world and revealing its hidden potential. In his exhibition 'Please touch!', the sculptor's fascination with the fusion of material and meaning is prominently displayed. The exhibition provides visitors with a unique opportunity to gain insight into the artist's creative process and enables them to experience his work with all their senses. Cragg's sculptures are known for their varied forms and materials, and this exhibition showcases around thirty of his works at the Kunstpalast Düsseldorf.
