Sky Arts to screen new film on Anish Kapoor by Waldemar Januszczak

On 12 December, Sky Arts will screen a new film by art critic Waldermar Januszczak following Anish Kapoor as he prepared for his major dual-site exhibition in Venice (20 April – 9 October 2022).

Ahead of the 2022 Venice Biennale, Januszczak was given unprecedented access to Kapoor as he worked to complete the installation of two of the most ambitious shows of his career, both happening at once.

During the Biennale, Kapoor was granted the honour of showing his work in a solo exhibition at Venice's Gallerie dell’Accademia, and at the historic Palazzo Manfrin. The shows came at a loaded moment for Kapoor – as he approaches the age of 70, his art has split into curious directions. This documentary shines a light on some of the most dramatic, turbulent and mysterious art of our times.

The film will screen on Sky Arts, Freeview and NOW at 9:15pm on Monday 12 December 2022.
