Richard Long knighted in UK New Year's Honours for services to art
3 January 2018
Congratulations to Land artist Richard Long, who has been knighted in the UK New Year's Honours for his "services to art".
In 2017, Long, known for his enduring works in stone, slate, flint and mud, presented a solo exhibition 'EARTH SKY' at Houghton Hall, featuring works made specially for the grounds of the historic house, and created a 60-metre-long wall painting in mud for Lisson's 50th anniversary exhibition, 'Everything at Once'. In spring 2018, Long will present a solo exhibition of new work with Lisson Gallery London.
