Richard Long: Athens Slate Line at the Acropolis

Richard Long’s Athens Slate Line (1984) is currently installed at the Shrine of Dionysos Eleuthereus on the South Slope of the Acropolis of Athens. The project is realised in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Sports, and NEON, a nonprofit organization that is committed to broadening the appreciation, understanding, and creation of contemporary art in Greece. Curated by the Director of NEON, Elina Kountouri, this is the first presentation of the work since its inception in 1984.
