Permanent installation by Daniel Buren debuts in Taipei metro station

The Banqiao Y15 underground station in Taipei, Taiwan, will open for service later this year, featuring a permanent installation by Daniel Buren.The station sits at the centre of the new MRT Circular Line, acting as a hub for Taipei's commuters. Buren's commission includes his trademark stripes in eight different colour patterns, covering the metro station's platforms, walls and ceilings, as well as integrating LED lighting.
This commission follows the unveiling of his major project at Tottenham Court Road station in London's underground in 2017.
