New series of 'Light Works' by Haroon Mirza on view at Amastan Paris during FIAC
10 October 2019
As part of Lisson Gallery’s activity during FIAC Paris 2019, Haroon Mirza's RGB will be exhibited at Amastan Paris’ Pop-In exhibition space. Mirza has won international acclaim for installations that test the interplay and friction between sound and light waves and electric current. Describing his role as a composer, he devises kinetic sculptures, performances and immersive installations, manipulating electricity and asking us to reconsider the perceptual distinctions between noise, sound and music. At Amastan Paris', Mirza presents a new series of three light drawings together, made up of LED wall drawings from his series entitled 'Light Works'. The works are formed of LED strips and cables rendered in red, green and blue light. Using reduced, geometric forms based on a grid, these light waves combine to create an ambient white light within the space.
RGB will be on view at the Amastan Paris Pop-In space from 15–20 October.
