Lee Ufan's 'Requiem' at the historic necropolis of Alyscamps in Arles
13 December 2021
An exhibition of an important set of 14 works by Lee Ufan, titled 'Requiem', is now on display across the site of the Alyscamps Roman necropolis in Arles, France.
The presentation, curated by Alfred Pacquement, sees Lee Ufan’s sculptures enter into dialogue with the ancient sarcophagi of the city, with works dotted along the path leading to the Saint-Honorat church, an unfinished Romanesque building, and in the chapels.
The exhibition preceeds the opening of a permanent exhibition center for Lee Ufan's paintings and sculptures next April, which will be accessible to the public in the Hotel Vernon in the heart of Arles.
'Requiem' continues until 30 September 2022.
The artist's exhibition of new paintings continues at Lisson Gallery in London until 22 January 2022.
