In Channa Horwitz's Rhythm of Lines series, each work is composed of an individual pairing of two sets of eight lines. The areas where the sets of lines cross are filled in with twenty-three-karat gold leaf. The work explores eight different angles of two intersecting lines, each assigned a specific color or the angle. The Rhythm of Lines series fits within Horwitz's body of work, entitled 'Moirés.' The variance of the intersecting angles in each composition determines the subtle changes in moiré patterns and compositions.
